Mt. Rose Loop/Summit Hike - North Lake Tahoe - Tahoe Rim Trail

This trail provides plenty of options for all fitness levels.  We'll climb gently up a sandy slope with picturesque views of Lake Tahoe as we begin our hike through Mt. Rose. As we continue to climb, the surroundings become greener as we hike into the wilderness to a beautiful waterfall.  For an easy hike, you can go to the falls and back, about 5 miles, total.    For a more moderate hike, you can continue up the mountain to the summit, 10 miles roundtrip.  Or for something in between, you can take the loop trail which will eventually lead you to a service road with great views of the lake that takes you back to the trailhead, about 5-6 miles.  You can make it a day trip or stay overnight and join us for dinner and fun in Tahoe.  Lodging recommendations are posted below.
